Jeannie Chaney has been involved with the Y since she was young, when she used to ride the city bus to the YMCA in Warren, OH, for swimming lessons. She was grateful for the opportunity to learn water safety, gain independence, meet new friends, and cool off during her summer vacation.

The Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) is an association of the YMCA dedicated explicitly to serving junior-enlisted military service members and their families, representing the six branches of the armed services: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

Since 1999, Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) and Y-Haven have collaborated to create an original theater production performed by residents of Y-Haven, based on their personal experiences.
