Our Y Stories

The West Shore Family YMCA is honored to hose the Adapted Football League, which began last month and runs for eight weeks. The league is run by Ryan Holesko, former Program Director at the Geauga Family YMCA and current Manager of Adapted Sports at the Achievement Centers for Children.  

We are honored to be once again voted as the Best Place for Family Fitness by the readers of NEO Parent Magazine! We work hard to provide a family-friendly experience for all, so it is gratifying to have our efforts acknowledged in this manner.  

A recent report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) showed an average of 379 children under age 15 die in reported drownings linked to pools or spas each year, with 71 percent happening at residential locations.

In this age of social media, scams, and artificial intelligence, it's sometimes hard to tell what is true or false.  

As summer winds down, we start to think about our new academic year schedules. In addition to taking care of those around you, may we suggest you take some time for yourself?  

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland's Y Club, formerly known as Before and After School Enrichment (BASE), and Preschool programs deliver Y-quality care and youth development. We strongly encourage anyone interested in these services for next school year to register as soon as possible while spaces remain.
