YMCA Fresh Start | Hygiene Product Drive | YMCA of Greater Cleveland

This November, donate personal hygiene products to any YMCA of Greater Cleveland Branch and receive a $0 Joiner's Fee when you become a YMCA member!

Enjoy savings of up to $100, while helping members of our community. All collected items will be distributed to local shelters and our Y-Haven facility, so your donation stays right in the area. In the giving spirit? You can donate any amount of items through this drive and we will handle the rest. The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is dedicated to bettering lives, new members not only can save up to $100, but also gain a place to better themselves, make connections, learn healthy habits, and contribute to the development of our local youth.

Those who prefer to purchase a membership online are able to do so with this promotion, we ask those individuals to bring their personal hygiene items to the branch on their first visit.

Why hygiene products?

While shelters and charitable organizations appreciate all donations they receive, there are some items that people don’t think to donate but could be immensely helpful to someone without a home. Hygiene products are among the most requested items from these organizations.

Hygiene products often requested by shelters:

Shampoo & conditioner
Shower caps
Face & body wash
Soap & shower gel
Shaving cream & razors
Oral care (toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, & mouthwash)
Menstrual products (often in short supply)
Infant necessities (diapers -- & lots of them, pull-ups, baby wipes, baby formula)
Toiletries (toilet paper, deodorant, combs & hairbrushes, nail clippers and nail files, hand sanitizer, sanitation wipes)
