Open Play
Open Play is a fun way to meet new people, improve your game, and get some exercise without pre-arranged matches. All playing levels are welcome, but playing experience is a must. Please use paddle rotation system to ensure everyone gets fair playing time. Everyone will put their paddle in line and wait their turn. You only get to play one game (Games to 11, win by 1) and then you go to the paddle rotation system. If the courts aren’t full what are the rules? Be Kind, Have Fun, teach someone, learn something, include someone. Don’t worry, they will be full soon!

NEW YMCA Pickleball Center in North Royalton OPENS!
We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new YMCA of Greater Cleveland Pickleball Center at the North Royalton YMCA! With four state-of-the-art courts and programming designed for all skill levels, this facility is sure to be a vibrant hub for the ever-growing pickleball community. The Center will be exclusively for YMCA members and their guests.
The climate-controlled facility features four professional pickleball courts which will be available Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is located at 13700 York Rd, North Royalton, OH 44133.
Exciting News: YMCA of Greater Cleveland Appoints Travis Wilson as Pickleball Director
The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is thrilled to announce the appointment of Travis Wilson as the Pickleball Director for the upcoming North Royalton Pickleball Center. With his diverse background in sports coaching, technology, and real estate, Wilson brings unique expertise and enthusiasm to lead this initiative and expand the YMCA's pickleball offerings.
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Wilson has a rich tennis coaching history, having served as Head Tennis Pro at Dayton Center Courts and Tennis Academy. He further honed his leadership skills as the Junior Coordinator at South Regency Tennis Center, and he held leadership roles within the Dayton Area Tennis Association. His deep passion for racket sports led him to discover pickleball in 2020, where he quickly embraced the game and became certified by the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and Junior Development Pickleball.
The new state-of-the-art Pickleball Center, set to open soon in North Royalton, will be a premier facility for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. It will serve as a venue for recreational sports and as a hub for community engagement and promoting healthy living.
Jeff Jacko, Branch Executive of the North Royalton YMCA, expressed excitement about Wilson’s appointment: "Wilson's extensive background in sports management and his dedication to pickleball make him the perfect fit for this role. We're thrilled to have him join our team as we prepare to open our state-of-the-art Pickleball Center."
Wilson resides in Westlake with his wife Liz, son Brady, and daughter Piper. He is eager to introduce his passion for pickleball to the Greater Cleveland community and further develop the sport within the YMCA.
