Help protect them with routine vaccines

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, an annual observance that highlights the importance of staying up to date with recommended vaccines throughout your life. As a community-serving organization, the YMCA of Greater Cleveland wants to remind you of the vital role routine vaccinations play in protecting your health and the health of those around you.

Why Vaccinations Matter
Routine vaccinations are essential in preventing serious diseases. During August, we encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider to ensure that you and your family are up to date with all necessary vaccinations.

For Families with School-Aged Children
As your children head back to school this fall, it's particularly important to work with your child’s healthcare provider to ensure they are caught up on missed well-child visits and recommended vaccines.

Take Care of Yourself Too
Adults need vaccinations too! Make sure to receive any vaccines you need to stay healthy. The CDC offers an adult vaccine assessment tool to help determine which vaccines might be right for you.
