Activate America® is the YMCA's bold approach to directly address our nation's growing health crisis.

Below are some the programs that the Greater Cleveland YMCA offers under the Activate America umbrella:

Free Diabetes Education and Self-Management Programs

The Greater Cleveland YMCA partners with the Cleveland Diabetes Association to offer a variety of free Diabetes programs including a 10-week Education and Self-Management program, a monthly empowerment class, and a four-part Informational Series.

Classes are led by a combination of YMCA staff, registered dietitians, certified diabetes educators, nurses, and health educators.

Healthy Kids Day: Free activities for the whole family

YMCA's Healthy Kids Day is a signature event of the YMCA Activate America initiative, which is rallying YMCAs across the country to further help individuals and families who struggle to adopt and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Each spring the Greater Cleveland opens its branches to the community for the event. Member and non-members alike are invited to drop by any of the branches to participate in fun, free events.
