Let's face it: You have a choice to make, one that will define your future. So, at what volumes do you want your career to speak?
What if it said you're helping to build a better future, not only for yourself, but for kids, families and your community? Or, how you're a vital part of a team that thrives in a values-based environment? Or, that you're happy because you made a decision that fits you best?
At the YMCA, all of this can be achieved. Our staff members are carefully selected based on their interests, experiences and enthusiasm. And since the YMCA seeks only the best, we also provide the best, like an exceptional wage and benefit package (which is determined by your employment status and tenure with the organization).

Culture
The YMCA provides a values-based environment where caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are incorporated into everything we do. The atmosphere is fun, the facilities are safe and clean and the work is rewarding.
Diversity
Long before the phrase cultural diversity was used, YMCAs were hard at work creating an atmosphere where individuals could come together. And today our vision is that the YMCA movement will be known for practicing inclusion by valuing the diversity of all people within the associations and the communities it serves. Through training and counsel, YMCAs increase and support the cultural competence of their staff professionals, volunteers and members.
Diversity is the mosaic of people who bring a variety of backgrounds, styles, perspectives, beliefs and competencies as assets to the YMCA. By practicing inclusion, Ys not only address social trends and remain relevant to their communities, but also remain true to the YMCA mission, goals and values.
During its more than 150 years in the United States, the YMCA has responded consistently and successfully to the demands of a constantly changing society.
